Lemongrass – Born from Love
A rainy night, really heavy one. I was lying on my sofa thinking about a conversation about career and work with my wife. I had always known Paige is not just an accountant — she is someone bigger and someone way more capable of doing exciting things.
I thought about the days when she was a home baker. I could feel the passion in her for food. She can stay up till about 5am and deliver a cake at 9am. I knew it was not about the money. It was about passion, true passion.
F&B? Hougang Capeview was right there, outside my window. There was an empty space vacated for quite a while. I went online, searched it up — yes, it's up for rent.
Starting a restaurant was tough work. We argued on menu, fought on deco and killed ourselves to get everything right. What pushes me on? Love.
Visiting Lemongrass is not just about supporting local or supporting a SME. It is about supporting the idea that love never fails.
